right the "clamp" piece wil screw onto your existing cold water feed under your sink, it will clamp on and pierce the pipe as you screw it down, alowing water to flow through towards the RO unit.

on the acctual unit there is a red and a blue pipe coming out, i`m guessing one is for the water coming in the other is for waste, Not sure witch is witch though. you want to connect the one for water in to the clamp.
then run the waste to a drain. the white pipe on the bottom will be your RO. there should also be some form of tap so you can stop water running through it permanently....

bag 3 is your in line tap. it looks like a pair of puch fit connectors that the pipe from the mains pushes into then screw the connectors into the tap. simply cut the hoseing and mount the tap some where easy for you to use to turn the RO on or off

bag 2 is your connector to your mains supply

hope this helps?

thanks BigIan!

i connected it all up but there is only water coming out of the waste pipe? any idea why?

is there a tap on the unit? this will change it from flushing the membrane or producing RO. make sure you have got enough pressure (psi) otherwise it wont be able to make pure water.

I connected mine up from the outside tap with a few hoze connectors the a garden tap reducer, works just! as it needs minimum of 60psi and when no washing machine is on it comes up to that :p

NIZ where did you get the garden tap reducer????

One of those would make life so much easyer as ours is second hand and i had to bodge some stuff together as it had no propper connections

i have a tap but im unsure where to connect it to? i think its ment to go on the waste pipe and remain in the flow position... also same question as bigian!! lol where on earth you get that!

Cheers

it will take a few minuites for the unit to begin producing RO...

and i just found the connector for a garden tap HERE

I think the tap would go on the pipe from your mains to the UNIT to stop the flow when your not using it

haha, well... depends no how good u are :p.
My filter is a osmotics one, what i did from help with TFF was if you can imagine garden tap-->hozelock(screw fit tap click fit connector-->female click fit---> bit of garden hoze--->another female---> this i part i forget think its a.... click fit male on one side then a screw thread on other side---> then connects to the tap connector which goes onto the filter.

then it forms a water tight fit and works a treat but again ive put a pressure gauge on it to make sure i get enough pressure as tap pressure can be very low in places so best to get one me thinks if u havent already otherwise the water cld not be properly filtered.
Here a pic of it

heres a link. oh and here is what you want for the bit i forgot about!

you can get the 2nd one down your garden center as i did as i took a break at our fish shop :p

go back to your original picture i belive the small white pipe is the inlet to the filters

the blue pipe is the good water outlet (RO water)

the red pipe is the waste

it looks like bag 3 contains the flow restrictor and flush tap if this is the case this should be fitted into the red pipe and there should be a flow direction arrow on it this restrictor is essential as it applies a back pressure to the membrane

So do i have the tap on the red pipe in the flow or no flow position when i want ro water?
