Pics Of My Finished Tank

Well my betta tank is done. I have had the VT for a year and a half, the CT for a few weeks, and today I got the plakat. I decided 40$ from aquabid was too much for me to spend for an HMPK since this is just a hobby and I don't breed. I found one pet store finally where I live which said they could get a "short tailed fighter" which I assumed was a Plakat, and it looks like one to me (although I'm no expert, tell me if I'm wrong).

The VT is "ringo," the CT is "santiago," and the Plakat doesn't have a name yet, feel free to offer suggestions!!!

Thanks for your help, I did a fishless cycle, am using a penguin biowheel filter w/ the DIY current breaker and no heater yet, 'cause it isn't winter :). I am really really happy with how it turned out! Thanks Again!

I really like the plants! Also your CT is very nice looking! I was hoping to move my only betta to my 10 gallon but had a slight problem with that 10 gallon today. The problem consisted of the tank shattering and 10 gallons of fishy water spilling into my room lol.

Well auctually my one remaining tetra was in there but i quickly threw him in a tank next to the shattered one. I would have been horiffied if my betta died, I was lucky I hadn't moved him yet.
 
Wow looks great! Im going to be dividing my 10 gallon soon. Hopefully myn will look somewhat good ;)

I can't really tell in the pic but are you sure its not a girlie? Thats what it sort of looks like to me :/

well i'm not an expert but it doesn't look like a female to me...

actually it really does look like a female...anyone else know?
 
Does s/he have an oviposter? It will look like a grain of salt just by his/her ventral fins? How big is his/her beard when s/he flares? A males beard will be much larger then a females would be. Also Could you possibly get a better picture of the finnage, that would help alot ;)

I don't see the oviposter, and I don't know about the size of the beard, and here's the best picture I can get...

I have never seen a real plakat before but that really does look like a girl... What do you guys think?
 
Your tank looks awesome! I really love the colors =) It's very natural.

Your Plakat looks like a Plakat boy, to me. His ventrals are quite long, and his anal fin has the PK point! As for names, I like Diablo :p to fit the theme of the other 2. They're all gawjus!

So I've looked at tons and tons of pictures and I think it is a Male Plakat....but I'm not positive and I would really like opinions before I name him/her...please let me know what you think!!!!!!
 
I don't know much about plakats, but nice color...are those fins clamped? I'm just wondering.

LOL you too huh , My ten Gallon did that yesterday too (while I was cleaning it) I had taken all the fish out though so it wasnt soo bad just water everywhere.
and I am out a home for my 2 boys (divided tank 2 male bettas in it nothing else)
