I know this is only a goldfish but I thought this was the best fish forum i'vge seen.

I'm worried that the fungus has gone to far - is there anything i can do about it now? see picture...

When the fungus first started i did treat the fish but he seemed really down - so i reintroduced him back in the tank. now the growth has got too big. Can he have it taken off?

what should I do - he is still happy so nothing has changed there.

Many thanks - some advice would be greatly received

Wow that bad, to be honest it looks like the only thing to help the fish and it could already be to late is an antibiotic, doee it look like the flesh is being eaten away, columnaris can turn into nasty ulcers.
How many gallons or litres is the tank, how many fish are in there and what type.
Do you have water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Can you make that pic of the fish larger. poor thing such a cutie.

If it really is a fungus, maroxy works really really well. Not sure what side of the pond you're on, so it might not be available to you.

It doesn't look like fungus... Looks more like a Tumor or Cauliflower Disease (which is viral and there is nothing you can do except destroy the fish before the virus spreads)

Thanks for all your help. But I woke up this morning and he had died. Poor thing. The fungus didn't seem to affect him that much.

Thanks again.

Sorry R.I.P.
My eye sight not to good but did it look like a cauliflower.
