are you sure that the mother is not a swordtail because hybrids dont normally produce anything that perfect
It's not perfect. The tail is much shorter then it "should" be, and so is the Sword. It looks out of proportion to the body. That's what happens when the shorter tailed Platy genes mix with the Swordtail genes.

Awww! You can definitely see the difference in the Swords when you mix in the Platy.
