very nice mate, i have just started carp fishing myself but my personal best is just 10 pounds, still plenty of time to double it

nice carp mate, just wondering, how did you use porridge, as groundbait?
this is one of my catches, a 7lb 2oz common, not massive but worth it on a scorching day on the canal

nice fish too even thw smaller fish put up a fight

this is what i use for carp fishing in lakes

you buy cheap bags of porridge and cheap tins of sweetcorn for a hot day i buy four of each, what i do is open one tin of sweetcorn and one packet of porridge oats pour contents in to a bucket/tub add some water not much though add small amounts till it goes doughy not over sticky then thats the bait ready to use on to a cage, compress small amounts of the bait ontoi the cage into a ball and stick the hook into the ball of porridge and cast away

The lake near me has actually outlawed the releaseing of carp, its just gotten so bad, i think the record around here is a 30 pounder that someone hit with a bow. Nice pic. :good:
