This piece of wood was sitting at the edge of a small wild life pond for a few years. It had terrestrial moss on it growing on it. I put it into the aquarium, I took some of the moss off thinking it would rot, but left a bit on. The long strands coming from the middle clumpy bit have grown submerged. I thought it was interesting, English moss growing underwater in a tropical aquarium.

....Interesting ! can you give us any other details ?

Such as, how long has it been in your tank, have you noticed much growth or any change in the appearance of the moss now it's growing submerged in warmer water.

It was submerged for 3-4 weeks, I took the wood out as it was too big for the tank. I put it back by the pond. The bits that grew submerged dried out and look dead now.
Here is another submerged pic, it’s a bit blurred but the longish strands, which are a slightly lighter colour growing at the top of the clump are the submerged growth. Hope that makes sense. I put it in a bucket of water today to see is it grows submerged again.
