cool. How big is the tank? Are you goung to keep a bare bottum or are you going to put something. Is that java fern and how many plants together is it or is it just one huge plant.
:D

Cool tank!
about 70Gallons is that?

Very nice fish!
what are you feeding them?

Mikey :good:

the tank is around 40g.im not sure what im doing about substrate yet what do you think?the java fern is rooted to a piece pf bogwood.they feed on mostly fish, mussles and prawns but will also accept large worms, shrimps and cockles

I think it is cool without subtrate. It looks so calm and peaceful not so busy liek most tanks. Maybe a few pieces of slate piled for hiding spots. Cool fish :)

only 40G? it looks much bigger than that...

anyhow, are those pacus or pirrhanas? (dumb question, but i can't tell the difference...)

Dont mean to flame your thread but 40g your asking for a bloodbath with these fish. They are very nice though. I think substrate would look better.

I would personally put down a little bit of sand, maybe only half an inch or an inch and let the red bellies move it around. How big of a tank are you planning on getting?
:D

i was thinking black sand what do think?this is the tank they will be upgraded to in a few months(100g)
