These are our two tanks. The first pic is of our very first tropical tank - 60L - now empty as we decided to give it a make over - my boyfriend wanted a more underwater-jungle feel to it. The fish that were in it are now in our new one of a similar size that we bought the other day. This one is less planted. We were also wondering if anyone has any ideas what we could put in our junglesque tank now? We can't decide!

ooops, forgot the other pic!

By the way, would just like to add, we have put the old filter media from the first tank into the filter of the new one that the fish have moved to, before we get any posts about that!

very nice!

i always think if your going for fairly heavily planted it looks really good to understock it, with just a few shoals of little fish like tetra's or rasbora's, then just one 'centerpiece' fish, like a really pretty gourami or soemthing like that :good:

Very nice. :good:

But I'd fill the first tank a bit more, or you'll get visible (and ugly) chalk-lines.

Thanks for you comments about our tanks guys, I like the idea of having cardinal tetras and honey Gouramis in our second tank, so thanks for the suggestion. I'll also try to fill the second tank bit more like you said, just worried because the light is so close to the water surface, guess we should get a condensation cover thing. We've learnt such a lot in the two months since we first got our fish and signed up to the forums; if you compare these tanks with how our first one looked initially it's quite hilariously bad  I still haven't managed to teach Gems to stop referring to our platies as guppies though, she gets confused. Bless

Like I said it looks really good ;) And I have a Platy too and it resembles a guppy I suppose but bigger and without the large tail-fin. :good:
