My Reef Tank

this is my new tank,not the best of pic's sorry but gives you an idea,

84x24x24 and has a 48x18x15 sump

that would depend on alot of things,
as all sizes can beautiful from nano to massive tanks

pic 7 the tank been panited gloss black 4 coats , and the t.c fitted with the down pipe (40mm)

That looks a fantastic set up!! I'd love a reef tank but haven't got the knowledge to even attempt one but they are fabulous to watch. I bet your children are facsinated with it and must learn so much. :nod:

its like f.w keeping, and is very rewarding,if you understand the keeping of f.w then its not hard to learn reefs/marine plenty of reading and asking questions from people who actully keep them,

pic 10 the 2x return pumps (3500l.ph each)come up from the sump via 25mm pipes, to each corner where the enter the tank,and go straight down and along the base of the tank, to form two spraybars,which will stop any build up behind the liverock,

pic 11 the sump flowing,
, with 2x a.m multi skimmers on, dsb, live rock,cheato then to the 2x return pumps
