Brown Fur Taking Over My Tank.

I have over the last few months got more and more brown fur growing on every thing in my tank appart from the fish ,has anybody got any ideas how to get rid of it?

Looks like the kind of algae at the tanks in pets@home, halifax.
Not sure what it is though personally.
