Male/ Female?

Female, Melanotaenia Boesemani 
Looks female.
But to be honest, it doesn't look like a pure M. boesemani to me. The colors are too "mixed".
M. boesemani have a yellow/orange back part, and a blueish front part. Your fish seems to have blueish all over.
It reminds me more of a M. parkinsoni. But then the fins are not correct....
So it could be a hybrid, but like I said, I'm not sure. It could also still be a pure M. boesemani.

I was going to say it doesn't look much like a bosemani or however it's spelled.. did you get it from petsmart? They sell similar looking rainbows.

Beautiful fish Triskele. They look very healthy.
bex1, if you compare your photo with Triskele's, do you then see what I mean when I say that colour separation on your rainbow is a little "off". Mind you, this could also be because she's still young.
