Plant.jpg

sorry about quality :/
is it glosso?

I take it with the scale of your hand behind it it is tiny!! It looks like one stem of HC - Hemianthus Callitrictioides (HC)

I may be wrong and i`m sure others will correct!

EDIT: or is it a stem of glosso, just the way the leaves are forming it looks like glosso but the size makes me think HC ... lol i`m probably wrong on both accounts :) lets wait on someone to tell use for sure :p

Chris

ok thnx chris ill have a quick look on google to see which it matches :D

If it was attached to the hornwort I gave you its HC, there is always some floating around my tank! BTW it looks very much like HC too, so thats a good bet.

i am 100 % sure that that little plant is creeping jenny

its not an aquatic plant cuz it can grow outside of water

carefull it grows sooo fast

if you have co2 it will take over your tank in a month

so just watch out ....

but i dont think youll have a problem with a little stem like that

lol

it is a very hardy plant

 good luck!

Doesn't seem to have the right leaf shape or growth form for creeping jenny?

and all this time i thought i was growing creeping jenny.... lol

well it still grows fast..... \

that one i know from experience.... lol

thnx everyone, one more thing, should i plant it or leave it floating, i wanna try and see if i can get it to grow :D
and could you type the full name so i can look it up
thnx

plant the bugger! in about a year you should have a healthy lawn of HC :D lol

no seriously, if u plant it, let it grow a little and then start to propergate it! Would be easier buying a pot full mind you!!

It seems to be growing well so far in my tank but not terribly fast!

Chris

Yeh push it into the gravel, but guppy_man if this is for you're new tank it probably wont grow as you've not got a plant substrate. Its probably survived but get ferts out of the water. But give it a go! If it grows bonus, if not you've not lost anything have you ;)
