I Think One Of My Shubs Is Dead But Its Not Floated To The Top

this morning it was fine , i have noted that it has been at the top for a wile but a couple of hours ago it was at the bottom not moveing so i nuged it with the net and it still didnt move , i brought it to the top and its gills were moveing but very slowly so i filled a tub up with pond water and left it in there

now it gills are not moveing at all and its not moved from that position

i have added a pic but i dont see how that could help

hes one of the oldest ones we had

he is about 6-7 years old

6-7 years is quite young for a shub as they can live over 25 years maybe longer. I think i can see breeding stars on its gills and pectorals so maybe that had something to do with it, but sorry for your loss.

yeah its had them sinse we got it lol
