I was out closing on my new house and measuring windows over there, came back home and found my old Mr Woo had finally reached his end. He was the cheeriest little thing. I couldn't believe that any animal could be that ill and not give in to it. There he was so full of tumors he couldn't even swim sliding along the bottom of the tank in his few inches of water wanting to say hi and get fed.(he went on like that for 5 months!) Then his mouth got all funny in the last month or so and he could barely get the food in it....But he pop up like a frisky young thing and show off for me and try to get a big bite. He was eating up until this morning!! I had to shut off the filter as the current became too strong and he'd wash away in it. He was still happy even so.... Then he'd perch with his tail on the bottom and his mouth right up to the surface and I'd swear he was either dead or about to die. He'd see me flip right around and be his happy self. No little creature ever enjoyed life more no matter what...... I learned alot from him both about betta in general and also about keeping up one's positive outlook.. I'll sure miss him. He was one of a kind even tho just a common VT but isn't life just that way..? It maybe just takes the wise to see it.

Ah, that's too bad. I remember you telling me about your geezer. He sounded like he was an excellent little friend. He seems like he'd approve of a Wake.

AH Bless....hugs to you for your loss :* Fishy wishes for giving him such a lovely life.

Aww bless, he's sounded like a lovely character and I'm sure you're going to miss him

RIP Mr Woo :-(

Do you have a picture for his memorial?

If there is a special place for special pets, he earned his spot.

Mr Woo :flowers:

so sorry for your loss... he sure sounds like he was a cute little guy.

Here he was after he became disabled from the tumors. He got alot worse from here. I have those photos but I really don't want to show them too much. He loved to have his photo taken.
You can't feel sorry when a little creature is so ill.

You gave him a good life, he gave you not only much happiness but a lesson on how to enjoy what time you have here on earth. He's now in [a] betta heaven.
