I am looking at buying the Juwel Trigon 350 and setting it up for a marine setup with live rock, i require some information on whether this is possible and also need information on best equipment to use with it.

Any help appreciated.

Well, stickies are your friend. A 350L is a great size tank to start out with as the general rule of thumb is that while more expensive, bigger is more forgiving and easier for a newbie to learn on :). You're gonna want a ton of LR, a sump if you can fit it, a skimmer, some good lights (type depends on if you want a reef tank or a fish only), and a whole host of other equipment. Have a read at the stickies and ask some more directed questions when you've got a better idea of what you want :) Good luck and :hi:

I have my trigon 350 setup as a reef, it works fine for me. If you want a sump the stand that comes with the tank has room. A small rectangular tank would do if you just need somewhere to put equipment. If incressing water volume was also important a odd shaped tank could be made. You could always go sumpless. If sumpless is your choice keep the filter box at the back of the tank. I have used the empty filter box in my tank to house the heater, skimmer, and kept the powerhead. The main problem i had was when i wanted to upgrade my lights. Most of the units on the market are aimed at rectangular tanks, and pendent light units are hard to hang with the tank being in a corner. tank.JPG
This was the tank when it was about a week old.
If you stay FOWLR the quad T8's will do the job. About 40kg of LR will be good for filtration, and a couple of high flow powerheads ( seio 1100 ) or similar will set you well on your way.
