They arrived alive and well at about 9:45 this morning. They are floating in their little bags right now.

I hope I don't have problems with aggression... these girls are SO TINY!!! The girl I got at PetCo is at least twice the size of them! The one from PetCo (Baby) was in a tank with one about the size of these four, though, and there was absolutely no aggression there, so I think they should be okay.

YAY!!! GIRLIES!!!

Well, they've been in the tank now for about 15-20 minutes, and so far, so good. The four new ones still have their stress stripes, but they are colored up more than they were in the bags.

There is a little chasing, but no nipping so far. Baby is just flaring at them, but she isn't nipping. She's just intimidating them. She is definitely the dominant female, and I don't think she'll have any contest for that title.

I renamed them, too. I named the blue one "Bloo" after the main character in one of my favorite cartoons. I named the purple pastel "Diva" because she's such a little show off, and she's the only one that will approach Baby. I named the turquoise pastel "Lawan" which is Thai for beautiful. I named the regular turquoise one "Ariel" after the main character from The Little Mermaid.

They are all settling in and doing well. Hopefully I'll get my sixth and final female (Princess, a cambodian CT) tomorrow. :D

I'll have pics this evening when I get home from work. :)

Awww you're so making me impatient to start my own sorority! ;)

They sound beauteous, cute names too! I can't wait to see pictures! :D

I'm having a terrible time trying to post, just know there is a real reply I am trying to post! lol

That is awesome, Kristen! FexEx must be extra-quick right tnow, today I also received a package I just had shipped 3-day yesterday! My new Crownies!

Those girls are all really sweet, the only one that has ever been aggressive is the royal, which is why we called her chomp in their growout tank, lol. She looks just like her mama, BTW, cept mom is turq. I had a ton of glassies in that spawn, not sure why! They were all the first females to go, I was thinking of keeping those two for myself but I have so many babies and juvies right now!

This is their mommy at 4.5 months , one month older), I'll post a pic of their daddy too.

Your babies were born November 29. Cute names, hon! I am sure they will be fine....They come from a line that has very good instinct, but are very sweet.

HERE is Dad:

And HERE is Mom!:

See how tiny Ariel is compared to Baby? And Ariel is the biggest of the four new ones I got!

I'll try to get the other three, but right now they are still flitting around too much exploring their new home.

Are your new bettas part wild??? I feel majorly stupid asking...

Aww, Baby is so cute:)

Daddy is Voodoo - gettin old now, he is on a spawn right now awaiting hatchlings. After this spawn, I think I will sell him and mom as a mated pair. They have mated 6 times for me! He is the BEST dad, and is such a feisty show off.

:hey:

Well, I woke up this morning, and there was one small little nip. The funny thing is, it's in Baby's tail! I bet it was Diva... she's tiny, but she's got attitude. She was the only one not scared of Baby when I put them in.

I don't see a clear dominance any more... they are acting like a school. In fact, just a minute ago, they were all sitting in a corner facing each other in a circle. It looked like they were talking to each other. They've all been swimming around together and following each other around. It's so cute!

I should be getting Princess today... I wonder how that will change things.
