Sorry if i am not supposed to post this in here if i cant please remove

chins4life rescue is urgently seeking good homes for many chinchillas. We are very full at the moment and desperately need homes for many gorgeous furrballs .

We do not permit any chin to go to a breeding home , they are rehomed as pets only

A donation is required to help us to continue to help the many sick and neglected chinchillas that come into our care . If you feel you can help at all please contact any of the people below

Can you give any basic info on the care or basic maintanence on these animals?
Maybe its just me, but it's kinda weird theres loads of chinchillas needing homes..? I mean, i thought they were quite unusual, desirable and expensive pets and not the sort of animal that often ends up in such situations...?

Hey Graham,

Could you please tell us where exactly you're located as well? I had a look on the website but couldn't find this information on there either.

I hope someone will be able to take in some of them. They're gorgeous animals =)

I am located in Cumbria but we also have a section in Bradford and Leeds.
Chinchillas are becoming one of the most neglected animals. There isnt a week goes by that one of us isnt contacted to take some chinchillas in :(

They do make good pets for a quiet household they sleep most of the day and then come to life on an evening so ideal for someone who works all day.

They need a good sized cage.wooden toys for chewing,a good quality Pellet food (not the mix)Hay,a dust bath to keep the coats in good condition and all mine love to have a run around the house.

a great forum for all info is www.chinsrus.co.uk We are a friendly crowd most of the time  and we often have pics of the chins needing homes in the rescue section

I think they probably get neglected due to their longish lifetime. Most small animals live only a few years but chins live 10-15years or so. We have 2, paid £75 each, would gladly like another couple but you are miles away from us in essex.
