Just wanted to share some pics.
The first group is of Pinky, my blood parrot. I love this fish so much!
After that are some pics of the saltwater fish only tank, with Bubba the picasso trigger and Sunny my yellow tang.

love the saltwater.i would love to try,but,would imagine it costs a lot of money.
 
A reef tank can cost quite a bit of money, what with the live rocks, intense lighting and other equipment. A fish only tank can be much cheaper because you don't need any special lighting, your equipment needs are not as great, and live rock is an option. You can have no rock at all, a small amount or you can fill your tank with it! In my fish only tank I don't have any live rock at all and the equipment in there is minimal. I just have to make sure I keep up with the water changes to make up for the lack of a skimmer.

Oh yeah, blood parrots are such amazing fish! She's my favorite fish, quite the character too. She's lived with live plants in her tank for like 5 years, then one day she woke up and decided they 'had' to go....and she shredded them into tiny little pieces. Uprooted every single plant and shredded them all. I'm thinking I can save money and time by using her talents to shred my papers......wonder if that will work? ;)

You would think I'd be mad about the plants but I'm not. I figure hey, it's her home she can do what she wants!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my saltwater tanks and fish too! Bubba, my little picasso trigger is a cool little fish, he will eat out of my hand but only because he is SUCH a pig and can't wait for the food!! :)
 
yeah they are funny parrot fish.Ive got 3 when I put a tablet in for the plec they pick it up and swim around with it in their mouths :lol: :lol:
they all are great plant nibblers but like you say it doesnt bother me its their home :wub:
 
the 1st pic of the marine tank with the yellow tang(?) is great. awesome looking aquarium! I wanted to do a 75. gal with a roman-sort of theme, ya know, with all the furniture and things like that. Since yours looks so good, that's how I might do mine :p you've inspired me lol
