hi i like number 2 as the rocks arent placed in such a symmetrical way as No1. it looks more natural to me
hi
sorry i dont know about the sand we have gravel. more plants would look good!! our amano shrimps never eat our plants but maybe cos thats because we always have lots of algae for them. but they do like algae tablets - quite often see them snatching a tablet away from one of our yoyo loaches & then carrying it off to a quiet corner to munch on.
maybe if you give them some they'll leave your plants alone. oh & they also like lettuce(romaine/kos that sort of stuff)View attachment 34633

Are you absolutely sure it's an amano shrimp (Caridina japonica) ?cuz my amano shrimp is eating everything
....maybe ill put him in my other unplanted tank

It very rare that they actually eat plants. I have approx 10 between 2 tanks and apart from algae and scavenging the gravel for titbits of food, they do no damage to my heavily planted tanks at all.
You really should not move it to an unplanted tank. One of the main requirements is a planted tank.
Edit: No. 2 is more balanced so prefer that one.
