Firemouths Fighting

My firemouths keep on fighting. One is 'winning' as such and therefore has no battle scars, but the other has some shredded fins. Iv added melafix and it seems to be getting better, but i need to know if they are a pair or not. The one in the pics below is the dominant one and nips the other, and the other flares its red throat. Both are about 3 inches long.

not the best pics i know. I think they are both males, which is why they do this. Do pairs fight like this. I need to get an ID so i can take action asap as its not really fair to keep them together if theyre never gonna get along. sorry only one pic he/she is a bit shy

Well you will have to rehome the aggressive one, as simple as that.
