The oscar is about 11-12 inches long

great looking fish!
just out of interest how big are your bala sharks? sorry for being nosey but they are a personal favourite of mine (i have 4 myself-1x6", 1x5" & 2x1")

All three of my balas are around 5-6 inches.

How large do Oscar's grow to and what size tank is suitable for one ?

I think it is 75 gallon for one, minimum

That counts me out then, shame..

I have a 100 litre tank or 22 gal.

I will have to wait until I upgrade to a bigger tank before I get an Oscar then. It wouldn't be fair keeping it in my tank if it's too small.

Yea James Oscars generally grow to a max of 12" mine is about that right now and he is comfortable in a 125 gallon tank. I would also argue that a minimum of 70 gallon tank is what an oscar needs. Also, they produce a lot of waste so maximum filtration is needed and frequent water changes. They are great fish though, lots of personality.

The Clown is around 4-5"
