Revamped Tank

Hi all

Was sat bored at the weekend, when I looked over and saw the state of my tank! So went shopping for a few bits and now am amazed!!

Also bought new light tube, as when I got back in from shopping the original had started flickering, much nicer colour!!

Anyway, let me know what you think!

I especially like the rock feature. I got those from The Range. That is 2 tubs worth, at 2 quid a tub for polished stones! Cheap and effective decoration!

Nice improvement, are the plants real or fake? Looks like a combination to me, which in that case then i think the plastics should be taken out.

Yes it is a combination. The are only 2 plastic ones - the dark green one at the far right foreground, and the dark green straight one in centre foreground. I wasn't too sure about how they would work, but I dont think they're too bad, and they fill up the space!

It didn't take all that long actually! Including the washing of plants, washing stones, creating the new layout, planting new plants and performing a water change took no more than couple of hours, with a tea break in the middle!

It was ok before, but the plants were half dying and there was too much open space in the middle so something had to be done!

Nice tank should look even better when the plants grow Heres a recent pic of my tank well the middle of it lol

all you need to do now is vaseline the back of your tank so the background sticks better

VASELINE!! You guys are genius!

The backing has been like that since i set the tank up back in October and its really bugged me since!!

The best solution i've had until now was to remove it and use some card instead!

Will do that tonight and take another pic for you!
