For a fish that really just dwells everywhere, I really enjoy C. pygmaeus. Their pattern is very smart looking, and they school together in a lovely group. They also go everywhere! I mean everywhere!

somethingfishie & paulioo, think your right as after some reading about these I reckon they are the guys :D Just need to go watch a few to make the final decision

Correct me if I'm wrong Ste but it looks like Hygrophila stricta or one of its varieties.

Yeah think it is although will post decent pic later as it was bought from LFS and not being that well up on plants yet i'm never quite sure. One thing I do know is that it has grown twice the size in the couple of weeks that it has been in the tank.

I'll try to get as many platy out of the tank that I can at weekend and let things settle down before I introduce new stock, whilst pruning tonight I have managed to find at least another 4 fry in there so god knows how many I have in total!

So far I'll be going with 10 Harlequin Rasboras, 2 clowns 4 julli cory and a couple of amano

Zig, after looking again at the glosso it seems to be growing upward then almost leaning when it hits a certain height, will give it more time to see how it goes and the lighting currently stands at 3.25WPG made up of 2 36W Triplus and 2 55W Daylight+

Also cranked the CO2 up to chart reading of between 50 - 60ppm which has started to show positive signs for the plants - fully aware that this is high but the fish are fine and when I had it around 30ppm the tank was lacking something. Throwing CO2 out via an Azoo diffuser next to my outlet which creates a nice flow of mist but i'm looking for a small PH to create more flow so when I have this the diffuser will go next to that instead.

My high nitrate - PO4 issue has also started to be a thing of the past as the plants are using this up nicely.

very nice looking tank but what type of plant is the one on the far left

Just plain old cabomba red and green

Zig, the plant to the right is Hygrophila angustifolia and it grows very fast

Anyone have any ideas for getting more red out of this lily? It's really started to grow this week since I swapped my Triplus tubes for the daylights but it seems to be holding back on it's colour

Wife has got me decorating a spare bedroom so I can't get my stock sorted just yet :(

To get more red, I add an iron fertilizer. I use Seachem Iron, and it really helps my Crypts, rotalia, and limnophilia. I've got one crypt that has leaves with purple undersides which used to be like an olive green. Very pretty plant now. I dose Iron twice a week. Also, adequate lighting also brings out red in high light plants. I have 2.8 WPG in my 10g and 3.7WPG in my 15g. Everybody's screaming for Nitrates now, but my poor plants have to wait until the mailman brings it.

Here is my Tiger Lotus in my 36 in FL with Iron dosing and light. My mom says it's now near the top of the tank. Yeah! Flowers!
