Hi guys
I bought these red-finned cigar sharks when they were around 3 inches. They are now around 10 inches and will get to about 18 inches in the right sized tank. They are in a 90 gallon but do they need rehoming does anyone think?

look very nice but as you have guessed an 18" shark is going to be way to big and IME they are very fast swimmers like the silver shark so will require atleast a 6x2x2 home in the near future.

although from what i remember when i research them they get to 14"

Thanks, yes I can take them to a nearby lfs, just needed conformation that I wasn't getting rid of them needlessly. I've got quite fond of them especially the smallest who's got a deformed mouth but they will have to go. Boo Hoo!!!

shame your no were near me i would have given them a good home in my tank, im looking to stock my tank abit.

Nice fish!!

How quick have they grown from 3inches to 10inches?

Are they skittish at all?

I haven't had mine that long. He is currently about 7inches long from nose to tail end.

They took around 4 months, really quick but I've fed them twice a day on catfish pellets and higrow
