OK Pseud made me feel guilty. I had been using this 10 gal fry tank as a spot to chuck in clippings etc. They were growing amazingly will with only 15W of standard Fluorescent, and DIY CO2. Last weekend I changed the substrate to black Onyx sand, added an extra 15 watt strip and rearranged the plants.

Pseud, the Ploysperma is what you sent me, the water sprite came from Walmart of all places. It has grown so much I had to chop it up drastically. I have what I think is Heteranthera Zosterifolia in the center. (not for sure on this one, I got the clippings at a store in Minneapolis as a freebie) Crypt. Balansae also in the center (it is very short, got it in MN also, and it didn't travel well). Rotala Indicta and what I think is either Alternanthera reineckii or Ludwigia repens. (it is also very beat up, time will tell....) Glosso and a couple of dwarf sag in the foreground. Java moss and Java fern on the wood.

Filters include 1 sponge filter and a Whisper filter that is inside the tank.

Balloon Molly fry, guppy fry, 2 panda cory, 1 oto and 1 bamboo shrimp.

Oooh.. very nice! Planting little tanks is a lot of fun. It can sometimes be hard to keep the balance and water conditions right (as well as finding the right sort of plant), but it always seems pretty rewarding. Plus once it's done it's easy to maintain.... no getting your sleeves wet trying to reach into a deep tank! ^_^
I have a 24"x8"x8" tank (6.6 US gallons) that is planted with no inhabitants at the moment. I hope that once the plants start to benefit from the CO2 it'll start to look as good as yours.

Looks nice Wendy... does look like H. Zesterfolia but it's hard to tell, got a bigger pic?

Here is a better picture. Too late, I read information regarding resizing so the first image in the post is a bit distorted. I may play with the photos and repost a better image.

Here is a close up of the plant.

Definitely H. Zesterfolia. It's a wonderful plant. One of my favorites. Took a little while to get going, but now there's no stopping it.

If you can post pics of your suspect L. Repens or A. Reinekki I can ID them for you. I've kept both...

Here are photos of te plant in question. This is my second go-I lost my darn internet connection half way through the last one.

Anyway, the plant isn't in very good shape, I hope it doesn't just melt. There are some new leaves at the top so I have hopes.

Another possibility is Rotala Macranda.

LOL, I told you it was in bad shape! Just a word on traveling plants-lead weights cause problems while going through airport security! Very suspicious looking things all curled up on the xray. Plants go right through though!
