My wife and I visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Nashville. The atmosphere is just amazing and the fish are so beautiful, strongly recommend to anyone visiting the Nashville area!

I didnt realize that you could keep stingrays with other fish, as they are so fragile. I guess in an aquariumm that big though, it doesnt matter as they have space to flee or manoeuver

oh my.

i just thought of something.
eating fish while looking at fish

its a 200,000 gallon tank.

Is that the RainForest Cafe?

My relatives went and took my little boy up there to that hotel in Nashville, to see the lights and that ice village...and they ate at a place that they said the entire place was nothing but fishtanks around and above you.

My dad said he spent $60 on lunch lol...he was not "impressed".

I'd like to visit it but doubt I'll get to Nashville any time soon. They'd probably have to run me off after I finished eating sicne I'd want to just sit and watch the fish rather than pay the bill and leave.

I haven't been to the new Aquarium in Atlanta (hope to go next month)but understand they have a huge banquet/meeting room that one wall is part of one (maybe more than one) of their huge tanks. I imagine that room would set you back a pretty penny if you wanted to have a wedding reception there. I also wonder how many people would be paying attention at a meeting there? Not many people do at those type meeting anyway and that's with nothing to do but look out the window. Imagine having a tank full of big fish to watch instead of listening to some boring speaker.

200 000 gallon tank? That sounds a little sketchy to me. My LFS has a 3800g one, and it doesnt look that much smaller. What are the dimensions (if you know)?

If I'm not mistaken, it goes all the way around the room and extends above (it's also the ceiling as well). Or atleast that's the way my parents made it out anyways. It's supposed to be HUGE lol.

The second part is definately correct, it's much easier to keep conditions stable in tank that size and it would of coruse, as you guessed have plenty of room to flee to!

Mind you, I don't think it's a stingray. Can't see the sting.

It seems to be a restaurant built under a lake rather than a fishtank in a restaurant!!

Probably almost self sufficient at that size apart from feeding.

It is in the same mall, but on the other end from the Rainforest Cafe.

not sure of the dimensions, but they scuba dive with the fish and wave to the people eating as they swim by. It is a pretty big tank!!
