i got my java moss from an aquatics shop for free. bargain! they give it away in small bunches as it grows quick. it's now taken over half the tank and looks awesome!!

i have found those powerheads on ebay, unless you know of any online shops? i will check my local LFS, but doubt they will have them, it's not that big. i read that amano shrimp will eat this, is that true, does anyone know? thanks again =)

we have this furry type algae growing on our plants, and to some extent the filter inlet and outlet and heater, and i'm just wondering what type it is and what is the best way to get rid of it. a few months ago, we had that blue green algae, and we successfully got rid of it using antibiotics...

we got over run by guppies, due to the fry managing to survive in the plants floating around the tank. they are quite quick, and i've never seen any go near the filter, let alone get sucked in... a breeding trap, as mentioned, would probably be your best bet, though.

hi, the day before yesterday, we moved our fish to another tank, temporarily, so we could gut the one they were in, and put some new gravel in it. i cleaned the gravel and yesterday it was put in the tank, along with a couple of plants and some water (some old tank water, some new water)...

yeah, mine does that, kinda pushes the others out of the way to get at the peas!! i always take the skins off, and i used to mush them up a bit, but now don't really bother, as she's big enough to handle them. peas are in halves in the skin, so it's not a whole pea she's scooping up at once...

i have to jump in here, i disagree with that statement. i have a BGK and at feeding time, it'll come out and get the food. it searches around the tank until it finds it, and scoops it right up. if you are worried about this, though, you could always feed the other fish on flake to distract...
