A married father of 2 very energetic young boys. Lucas is 5, and David is 4. I grew up in a home with tropical fish that my father kept almost my entire life, but I was never really interested back then. My wife bought my eldest son a 5 gallon fish tank on a whim...and that's when the madness started.<br />
My son's little tank quickly became mine, and my obsession has been growing ever since. Maybe has a little to do with the fact that I recently lost my father to cancer, and when I;m playing in my tanks I often think about him...A "what would he do??","I wish he could see this", or "what would he think about that??" type moments.<br />
My wife thinks I'm absolutely NUTS!<img src='http/www.fishforums.net/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/drool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

' /> Because this was not the guy she married 10 years ago. But, now that I have been creating some decent looking tanks she is starting to come around. I wouldn't say she enjoys my tanks as much as I do, but I can tell she thinks they're cool. She just won't admit it in fears that I my trun our house into a public aquarium![/font]<br />
I currently have 2 tanks running, and 2 more waiting. I am more into the DIY of the equipment than anything else right now.<br />
I just regret not stumbbling upon this hobby sooner!
