Leporacanthicus Joselimai L246 Pleco (Should I?)

Yea, I've taken a look at that source, I'm trying to find more sources but there's not much about these guys. Thank you, though!

    Oh Yeah! Score!

That is awesome to get your hands on. I'm kinda jealous.

Leporacanthicus Joselimai L246 Pleco (Should I?)

Hey everybody, need some quick answers, tomorrow's pay day, we have one Leporanthicus Joselimai L246 Pleco left in stock, they just got put in the endangered species list... I've been reading up on them and they don't appear to eat plants, but I hear they like their meats... and i have corydoras...

    Hatchet Fish And Gourami Coexistence

Kinda figured... oh, well. Thanks anyways. Maybe sometime in the future I'll keep a tank just for these guys. I like to leave my tank open top and i really don't wanna change things just to house these fish.

    Hatchet Fish And Gourami Coexistence

Yeah, I have a co-worker that had all of his commit suicide. Thought they might not if I have a lot of foliage at the top. Maybe I'll pass on them. And I do have glass canopies I could use, but- I have plants growing out of my tank and I tend to keep it like that.

    Hatchet Fish And Gourami Coexistence

Like I said, I'm more worried about how the gourami take them. I know how schools work their thing out. Another thing im worried about is them jumping. I leave my tank open top and I know these guys are jumpers, but I do have good plant cover at the top... Might pick up a few tonight before I...

    Hatchet Fish And Gourami Coexistence

So... it's kind of hard to determine, but the spotted silver hatchet fish I mentioned i believe is the 'maculatus'.

    Hatchet Fish And Gourami Coexistence

He doesn't really hang around at the top, I was going to mention that he has his own little spot under the hang on the back where it's nice and dark, and the water is somewhat stagnate under the outlet. He's kinda cowardly, too, he doesn't bother the purple emperor tetra that linger at the top...

    Hatchet Fish And Gourami Coexistence

Hey all, been a while since I've been on here. How's everyone and their tanks? I have a question on the compatibility of hatchet fish (looking at maybe the marble or the spotted) and my dear Pearl Gourami. I would assume they would be okay, but since they have very wide and roundish bodies...

    Sump Refugium On Community Idea

Actually, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the amanos. I have about fifteen amanos in my tank, had them for months now, at least 7 months, and they're thriving. All the females are pretty much carrying around eggs now and all of the shrimp have grown to almost two inches now. And yes I...

    Sump Refugium On Community Idea

So a wild idea I thought of the other day was to add a sump Refugium to my 55 gallon community. Sort of an excuse to have another tank on the same line but- ...i like the idea of having a smaller tank. Since my parameters are excellent and in the sweet spot, I was thinking about a little shrimp...

    Mold Growing On Emersed Driftwood

Was it emersed? Because that's the thing, I know white fuzz happens on submersed wood when it's first introduced. I've had it soaking in saltwater for about a week now, I'm going to put it in the oven and see if that'll help. Or I may just hold off and wait until I get the humidity/temp...

    Cichlid Typing

Rams are easy for me, it's when it comes to the Apistogramma varieties is when I have a difficult time.

    Salt With Pleco / Corries

Don't use salt. Your corys and pleco scaleless fish, and they will be super sensitive to salt treatments. Also, corys shouldn't be housed with discus. Both have pretty much the same requirements in terms of pH and hardness, however when it comes to temperature needs, this is where they part...

    Mold Growing On Emersed Driftwood

So... I think I made a mistake in purchasing this hydrometer. It's National Geographic and I think it's... Well, it's not the best. The humidity level had stayed at 99% for the longest time since last night. It's been fluctuating today from 99% to 83% to 88% and just keeps bouncing up and down...
