my name is Al and I live about an hour outside of Toronto, Ontario Canada. <br />

I bought my first aquarium in 1978. The water where I live is like liquid cement so for many years I kept African Rift Lake cichlids. I currently keep killies, livebearers, corys and West African Dwarf cichlids - yes, I discovered that rain barrels have another use than watering the garden!<br />
<br />
I joined my local aquarium club in 1979. I have held almost every position in the club at one time or another. I now consider myself to be a slightly advanced novice. I still learn every day.<br />
<br />
I don't test water, I don't use medications and I am not a scientific hobbyist.<br />
<br />
I love communicating with hobbyists around the world and sharing stories and experiences.<br />
<br />
