I have a carbon filter. i removed it today to treat with fungus cure. I change my filter monthly. But anyway, could it just be discoloration? he is ALWAYS in the dark underneath his rock.... i don't have another tank for him. you might be right because i don't watch the tank every single...

its impossible to remove him from the tank, one wrong move and i will send him into his rock (wich he rarley comes out of anyway) and i dont want to pull him off the rock because that will surley hurt him. he is always on the opposite side of the tank from the heater. i will try to get up a pic...
