No my tropical tank has had ich before so I doubt its that.. Plus these little critters are climbing and moving around on the oscars.. Its really gross to see and makes me itchy just thinking about it.. ugh
Hi everyone,
I have an issue.. sigh..It would be my husbands issue but seeing as he is gone Icefishing well it looks like I better take care of it!!
My husband has a 120 gallon fish tank housing Oscars.. I went to look at them just a few minutes ago and they have these weird little white...
Thank you everyone for you suggestions.. I have taken the advice and just cleaned out the filter today and will do a water change and vaccum tomorrow. The goldfish have been rehomed to a friend of mines house. She is also a fish lover and welcomed them into her tank. :)
My worry with the...
Hello everyone,
Its been awhile since I last posted however I couldnt think of a better place to get idea's and suggestions.
My kids school has a 55 gallon tank with 4 HUGE goldfish, 2 fancy goldfish and 4 tetra's.. The tank is filthy, the fish are dying one by one and the school thinks that...
Ahh okay.. I have a 55 gallon that has mostly livebearers in it.. So adding a couple angels would fit nice.. They are beautiful fish but I didnt want to buy them if the 55 gallon wasnt big enough.. thanks so much for the info :)
Saw 6 oscars in a 10 gallon tank today.. Along side a 6 inch parrot in a 10 gallon, not to mention the numerous cichlids in the 5 gallons.. anywhere between 4 and 6 inches.. All dirty water , tons of algae and have been there for at least 6 months as I check the lfs on sunday when I go grocery...
Hmm.. Well maybe I will look into buying some then.. Someone said to stick them in my husbands Oscar tank and they probably wont be eaten.. we shall see..
Thanks for the insight.
St.Jacobs is a great little town.. It has the big market there eh!.. My parents live not to far from there in Cambridge. :)
Anyway back to Big Mama Jr.. How is she doing? My molly still hasnt dropped either.. This waiting game is no fun but I am sure we will all see little fry swimming about...
my mollies do the same thing.. White stringy poo thing included.. Its very odd but nothing seems to be wrong other then the pain I imagine they are in having that many babies.. Sheesh I needed an epidural when I had my babies and it was one at a time..LOL
Keep us posted.. :)
The temp in my tank is about 80-81.. I doubt the light would make it much hotter in there so i imagine she will be fine.. How is she this morning? Any little fry swimming about?
Thats amazing Ludwig! I would love to have an outside pond as well however I dont think tropical livebearers could handle a Canadian winter. Heck I can barely handle it!
Good luck :) I hope she drops soon.. One of my mollies refused to drop even though a fry was half way out. It was stuck there for a good hour.. I shut off the lights and covered the tank with a towel and within 15 mins she has 20 or so fry in there. The next time I checked on her she finished...
