I run two ex1200 on my 260 litre. I only had one running for 4 months though but the fish were still about 1-2 inches and under stocked.

Thanks! I've put some bunched up straws in and a fake plant, tank looks horrendous but I would at least like to see little fish swimming around, even if most do get eaten... Wondering how long it'll be now before she spits...

Sorry for your losses. I have just started a Malawi tank (after shutting tank down in Jan) when I had tropical fish they kept dying, water was fine etc etc. TBH local fish shops are more trouble than they are worth (with some exceptions). I ordered my fish online this time and so far so good.
