Hi everyone, I've got the roma 125 (125 litres) With the APS 1000 external filter. Couple of days ago I re-homed some of my fish as I'm wanting to change things up a bit. I am currently left with: 12x corys, 6x rummynose tetra and a BN plec.
I'm really not that clued up on fish compatibility...
Ok great, Bolivians it is then! :D
Next question- will Bolivians be ok with the pepper cory seeing as they both live near the bottom. I believe they are relatively peaceful fish so I'm assuming they'll be fine with a small shoaling fish such as a tetra of some sorts?
I am really attached to my pepper corys so would rather keep them and work round them even if that means not being able to get GBR. I have only recently got them so im sure the store would swap them but id just rather not. I was advised that the pepper corys would prefer the water cooler hence...
Thanks for your reply... Most people seem to be saying this, but i've had a few people/sites say otherwise, it just gets confusing. The more I look at the bolivian the more I like them. Just wanted to check before I made my mind up. I will be fully stocking my tank otherwise before I add the...
Hi everyone,
Looking for advice about Rams. i am upgrading to a Roma 125 on Wednesday and I am considering my stocking. I will have 6 pepper corys (currenlty have 3 but planning to up my numbers to six in the week) but other than that I starting with a clean slate....
I absolutely adore the...
All else doing well, plan to re-dose on the fluke solve tomorrow to be extra sure none of the larve/eggs are surving as I am actually re homing the fish next week to a friend whom I've been completely honest with about the gill fluke break out. I am getting a bigger tank next week and plan to...
Update- fluke solve has been in the tank since yesterday afternoon, after carefully watching the fish for a while I haven't seen one instance of flashing!! Will pop te carbon back into the filter tomorrow and treat again in 4/5 days to deal with any larvae. :D
So the little endler that was extremely ill was worse than I thought. By the time I caught him he couldn't even keep himself upright. Anyway by use of clove oil he can now R.I.P.
All others are doing well and I've noticed a definite reduction in the flashing! Not completely away yet though...
Thanks, so do I! I have added the treatment to the tank and the fish are coping well with it. The particularly ill endler however is in extremely bad shape i noticed he wasn't even able to keep himself upright on the bottom of the tank and I just in the last hour decided to put him out of his...
Thanks. The fluke solve claims to be filter safe but I will definitely keep a close eye on everything going on! Will update once I have the mess and added them! Have read comments that people have seen noticeable differences in their fish in as little as 24 hours! Got my fingers firmly crossed!
Thank you so much for all your advice, I am greatly appreciative of it! I am hoping the fluke solve will be dispatched today as its coming first class so should be here in a day or two, so I should have that time to return the water to normal again...
So do I do a 50% water change today and...
Just wanted to let you all know that I have ordered fluke solve and plan to treat the fish with this when it comes! Seeing how poorly my endler is I don't want to mess around with this paracite! Fluke solve appears to be extremely effective!
Bad news this morning! The little endler who wasn't looking good appears much worse this morning! He's lying on the bottom of the tank not really moving much, and he doesn't seem to be able to keep himself upright completely!! He can get himself upright but doesn't seem to be able to keep...
