i recently changed my substrate and just popped my fish into the old 15ltr biorb :) id definatly recommend taking out your fish if you sre changing any substrate :) as for putting the live plants in...keep the fish in...they'l just move out of the way ;)

anyway ,... update :) iv been out and got totally new plants that look great and i am after some floating plants and some more neon tetras as i now am on two existing tetras seems some had an incident when i changed round the substrate about a month ago. :( my honey gouramis white spot is...

erm...no they are just the brown marking lines that female honey gouramis get :/ ?

you know that is weird because im sure iv read gouramis making a clicking sound sometimes, and i heard a lot of clicking in the night, maybe it was my honeys? i only have neons with them so its not them lol i cant see them clicking lol it might be, dunno? :dunno: im sure its nothing to worry...

ok, personaly i carnt see myself getting another shoal, iv always had tetras and even when i went to rummy nose tetras i still had a few neons in. x i also have a baby neon thats just too cute too get rid of :drool: :rolleyes: after everything has cleared up ill get another 4 or so x so...
