    Iquatics T5 Tubes

Thanks barney. Having priced up all the bits for t5 lighting its going to cost around £200 to set up 6 tubes and then I've got to build a hood for them all(its the reflectors and waterproof end caps that really cost!). An arcadia 2x150 halide(classica) is £232 so I may as well have ripple lines...

    Iquatics T5 Tubes

Thanks Barney. Is there an advantage of 10K over 14K white tubes with regards to coral happiness. I was going to get 3 actinic and 3 marine white so I would have plenty of blue light without getting bluer 14k. Edit. Just to say i want to save a few quid as I'm spending a fortune upgrading to a...

What do you think it doesn't like where it is now? Is it getting blasted by a power head, is it in a light deficient area? Has it been like this long? They do sometimes shrink down for a day or two and shed a layer of skin, especially if they have got 'dirty' like algea on them.Hows you water...

Are you using RO water to make up your WC water? If not tapwater may well have high nitrates and other nasties. As has been said get a more reliable test kit, as already suggested a salifert one is good. Then test everything, your tank water, your WC water, your RO water and your tapwater before...

    Can You Frag A Mushroom

Just to clarify, normal mushrooms(NOT a toadstool that Bae is referring to) are absolutely bullet proof and can be fragged  If you cut one off ,the bit left on the rock will quickly become another mushroom, you can then chop up the disc you have just cut off into several pieces that...

    Can You Frag A Mushroom

TBH it looks quite happy in your pic to me. I believe if you cut it off you can glue it with superglue gel elsewhere(make sure you dry the surface of the bit you're going to glue and the surface of the rock you're glueing to with kitchen roll/paper towel),the stump should grow another head...

    Mce600 Skimate Collection

I use an mce600 and to set it up most efficiently ,I just took off the collection cup and moved the valve a little bit gave it a couple of minutes then measured how high the foam was and basically repeated this until the foam reached the highest point I could get it. Simple as that :good: The...
