Is the tank less than a month old by any chance, if it is that will be your problem.

My 1 year old dwarf platy died today she never grew over 1cm, ate and swam as normal and was perfectly formed.

So what can I do, the poor thing has been in a crowded non filtered tank of goldfish (not mine) and is lying on its side, made a move for the food. So far I have removed and isolated him in a clean tank with fresh water. Anything else to do Thanks

Tank will not have cycled

Please read about fishless cycling it will take 7 weeks not 7 days as the pet shop will probably have told you

I am guessing this is an uncycled and probably overstocked tank

The word batch worries me how quickly do you get through fish, and they all died together?

I always quaranteen for 3 weeks unless its a gourami than its 5 weeks

are they test strips results if so you should have guessed it would have been more accurate

giant ramshorn I acctuall like them and deliberatly introduced them, They seem quiet slow at reproducing to me so just remove a few big ones everytime the population gets to big
