<p>As an avid science-fiction fan growing up, I immersed himself fully in the genre, watching series such as Doctor Who and Star Trek on TV as often as I could, as well as collecting and reading as many science-fiction novels as I could get my hands on—which I still have to this day. I was in fact so fascinated with the genre that I even attempted to write my own science-fiction short stories while in elementary school, many of which earned me high praise from my teachers.</p>

<p>In March of 2007, I began writing my first science-fiction novel, <em>Destiny’s Edge</em>, which was published in July of 2010. A second book, <em>The Enemy Within</em>, a sequel to <em>Destiny's Edge</em>, is currently being written and is slated to be finished in the fall of 2013.</p>

<p>I currently live with my boyfriend in Hamilton, Ontario, where I have lived since February of 2009.</p>
