I have had many otos for a long time. I had one for the most for 2 1/2 years (he was older when we got him) and died last week :sad: . I had another with him for 2 years, but one day I found him stuck in the filter dead, so we got another and we've had her for 6 months now and she already layed...

OOO yea Algae eaters are awful sometimes.

Lol I can't get enough. 1. Overstocking 3 Danios in a 5 gal tank....hey LFS said it was fine (i was only 12) 2. Forgetting to dechlorinate the tank before I refilled it with water. Killed lots of guppies here 3. Putting a Betta in straight tap water. As soon as he was in there, bam he was dead...

Straight into the trash can. It's like 2 feet away from the tank...so yea! I used to flush them, but I had one come back up into my toilet (didn't flush right) and scared the bejesus out of my friend :rofl: and that I don't want to walk all the way to the other side of the house just to flush...

Yea I was planning on seeing what my water parameters at my LFS and one person wants to come over and check things out. Today I didn't see any fry, but I am hoping at least one makes it. I have Danios that zip everywhere and have an internal Fluval filter. I am trying to add more plants in there...

Awesome! Hope you get them soon! It took mine not even a month in the 45g. I had them in a 30g and my Oto Hemi died just before Christmas,so we got another Oto Nova, and got the 45g about 3 weeks ago and Bam! Keep your fingers crossed. That would be great! lol I showed one of my LFS and all 3...

Lol I know. I was psyched when I saw them and thought they were baby guppies, but was like "wait I don't have gupies anymore since last month and they never were in the bigger tank". I was watching my tank again and I saw 2 more clinging onto the rocks. I tried getting more pics, but all you see...

I was looking in my tank this morning cause I had little white spots everywhere in the tank moving on the glass (dunno what they are, look like small snails to me) and I came across two of these small guppy looking fry that were clinging to the glass. I thought they were dead until a fish came...

I used an old sheet that I cut to size on my 20 gal tank one time and that worked. It also helps soak up water in the back so it won't hit the floor or cords.

I didn't see it, but sounds to me that someone wanted to flush a fish if it didn't sell. I have that alot here on craigslist, it's just animal abuse! I had someone here that had two saltwater fish (forgot what it was) and he said if they didn't sell thatnight he would flush them. I emailed him...

The thing is I never bought live foods. O and trust me I already tossed it away. It just sickens me that I cleaned the whole tank out and 2 of them were floating around in there....yuck.

oh ty... it might be either a tubifex or blackworm. I did recently buy new plants for my tank, so they might of come off one of them before i transfered. Well hopefully in my 45 the fish will eat any if there are any more lol.
