Hi if the tank is 36 long x 24 wide I think it will work no probs but if its narrower it might be a squeeze I would suggest keeping them in a group of 5-6 so you get the full group mentality I had a lone specimen for a while and she was quite brutish towards cichlids with a much meaner reputation so I had to rehome her so make sure you do get a largish group.
