I was wondering if a snail would be a good thing to have in a cichlid tank.
Would on live with cichlids. Is there a chance that that my tank could be over run by snails (well that is what my uncle told me would happen)
And is there a way to controll the population of snails?

In a word....NO!!!

An apple snail would constantly be harassed by cichlids. They may even think of it as a plaything.

Any other type of snail would overpopulate the tank and there really is no such thing as snail population control...unless they commit snailacide :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :p :D

You know you are Very funny   :D

I did not think that it would work.

I a way it would but that could be expencive fish food.

the monster cichlids would love you for putting them in the tank. would not have to worry about overpopulation. but like you said it would be an expensive way to feed your fish.
